Creating Backpacks from GI Joe Accessories by Tim 121RVC

As part of Custom Celebration VII, Tim 121RVC used toothpicks as part of his Found Item Challenge. He took the time to show how he went about urning Gi Joe accessories without back pegs into backpacks for the figures.

Things you'll need

  • Super glue
  • 3 x toothpicks
  • Clippers
  • hot glue gun and hot glue (not pictured)

Steps 1 & 2

Glue the tooth picks together. When the glue dries, snip off the ends so it will sit flat in the back pack.

Steps 3 & 4

Place the toothpicks into the cavities and fill the area with hot glue. * NOTE: You may need to drill a hole into what you want to add a peg to like the Lifeline med kit pictured below.

Step 5

Do your best to guesstimate how long the back peg should be. Remember you can always cut it shorter but you will have to start over to make it longer. Then snip off the extra.
