Camo Face Paint Promotion

The Camoflauge Face Paint promotion matched up Joe figures with one of 4 different sets of oil baised paints each as well as an insert with instructions for how apply the face paint.

  • All figures offerd with Micro Figures were first avalible without them.
  • These carbacks featured hand applied stickers on the left hand side of the front of the cardback advertising the promoton.
  • Each paint set included 2 colors.
  • Sets included: Desert, Sea, Jungle, and Winter/Night camo combinations.
  • This carback can be made using the "Standard" 1989 Cardback templete and turing on the Camo Paint Promotion layer in the PSD file.

Micro Figure Promotion Cards

The micro figure promotion matched up Joe figures with one of the smaller format micro figures each. These carbacks were interesting in that the carback it's self did not change, but the bubble that housed the figures and accessories did.

  • All figures offerd with Micro Figures were first avalible without them.
  • The bubble background on the cardback did not change from the regular release.
  • These carbacks featured hand applied stickers in the uper left hand cornor of the front of the cardback advertising the promoton.

Not so Standatd "Standard" Cardbacks

1989 featured some interesting twists on the "Standard" Cardbacks. Gnawgahyde's cardback for instance is the Standard 1989 Cobra backer with the "Cobra Enemy" logo replaced with a "Dreadnoks Enemy" Logo. Dee Jay, Annihilator, and T.A.R.G.E.T. featured the alternate Battle Force 2000/Iron Geriniders blue and purple blast effect as well as the respective logos for each of those sub teams.

None of these cardbacks will be avalible at this time, but may be avalible in the future. At this time they are not unique enough to warrent creating the files.

Python Patrol

An example of the 1989 Pyton Patrol cardbacks.

Python Patrol figures became avalible domesticly in 1989. There figures were repaints of pervious figures in new paint scheames.

  • Python Patrol's blast effect is one of the simpleist to modify or create from scratch and uses only white, green, and orange. This blast will need to be custom made or modified from the template to make a proper fit around your charecter art.
  • The back of the cardback features a seperate checklist for Python Patrol figures, this checklist was only avalible on the Python Patrol cardback and not on the standard carbacks from 1989.
  • The background for the figure bubble varried in color from figure to figure and may need to be changed for your purposes (colors included Orange, Red, and Green).
